John Dersch Obituary, Death – John Dersch II, who was 75 years old and originally from Evansville, Indiana, passed away at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana, on the first Monday of April, 2024. At the moment of his demise, he was encircled by the love and support of his family. His birth took place on August 19, 1948, in Evansville, Indiana, and his parents, John and Phyllis (Roedel) Dersch, were overjoyed to welcome him into the world. He was the son of the couple.
John served his country with unwavering devotion while he was a member of the United States Army. He constantly talked about his experiences and the several honors he had received, particularly the Bronze Star Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. He also talked about the many awards he had received. His service in the military was something he was quite proud of, and he constantly talked about it.
In addition to being the owner of the company, John II Construction and Maintenance was also under his supervision. Concrete work was one of his favorite things to do, and he was especially talented at it. Building constructions and working with concrete were two of his favorite things to take part in. The following was John’s motto: “We are capable of constructing and maintaining anything.” He enjoyed a variety of activities in his spare time, including swimming, golfing, and playing pool.
These were some of his favorite things to do. John enjoyed going to the movies and going on drives because these were two of his favorite things to do. His loved ones and friends will miss him to a great extent. Certainly, he will be sorely missed. He is survived by his two daughters, Tammy Dowdy and her husband Chris, who live in Mount Carmel, Illinois, and Penny Luzadder and her husband Mark, who live in Flora, Illinois; four grandchildren, Chase Dowdy, Olivia, Emma, and Elijah Luzadder; two brothers, Tom Dersch and his wife Dorothy, and Don Dersch; and one sister, Donna Gamble. John was a beloved member of the family.
John Gamble’s parents and his nephew, J.T. Gamble, passed away one after the other shortly after each other. At the graveside services that will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at 12:30 p.m., full military honors will be offered. The services will take place at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, which can be found at 2900 Sheridan Road, St. Louis, Missouri 63125.
