John David Ochoa Obituary, Death; – On Monday, the Laredo Police Department released the identity of the individual who lost his life in a crash on Interstate 35 that occurred on Sunday.
The incident, involving two vehicles, was reported at 4:25 p.m. on Sunday. Authorities indicated that it took place in the northbound lanes of I-35, close to Exit 12B. The Laredo Fire Department reported that a small crossover utility vehicle was impacted on the passenger side by an 18-wheeler that was not towing a trailer. Emergency responders attended to a 67-year-old man, the driver of the crossover, who had been rendered unconscious by a bystander.
Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel noted that the man was without a pulse and not breathing, suffering from facial injuries. He received treatment and was transported to Doctors Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The deceased has been identified as John David Ochoa.
Following the accident, the northbound lanes were closed for several hours, partly due to a diesel fuel spill resulting from the collision.
