John Brough Oak Harbor OH Obituary, Carroll Township EMS & Fire Department Chief Has Died: The Carroll Township EMS & Fire Department is deeply saddened to announce the passing of Fire Chief John Brough, who died on Sunday, May 19. John was a pioneer in our community, being among the first to receive training as both an EMT and firefighter. He played a crucial role in the founding of our department in 1979 as a Charter Member. Over his remarkable 45-year tenure with the department, John served as Fire Chief for more than a decade, leaving an indelible mark on our community.
John’s dedication to public service and his commitment to the well-being of others set a standard that will continue to inspire us. His legacy of service over self will live on as we strive to follow his exemplary path.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 29, from 2-8 p.m. at Crosser Funeral Home in Oak Harbor, located at 301 N. Locust Street. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 30, starting at 11 a.m. at LaPointe United Methodist Church, 7325 W. Harbor Road, Port Clinton, OH 43452. John will be laid to rest at Locust Point Cemetery in Carroll Township.
