John Alfonso Candela Death – John Alfonso Candela, a resident of California, Maryland, who had been reported missing, tragically passed away in a single-car accident near a D.C. bridge on Wednesday.
The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office had issued a lookout for Candela the day before, as he was last seen driving a dark blue Hyundai Santa Fe with Maryland tags and was reported to have a cognitive impairment.
The accident occurred around 2:20 a.m. on Wednesday when Candela lost control of his vehicle while driving north on S. Capitol Street near the Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge.
He was taken to a hospital following the crash, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
