We are saddened to learn that Joe Bonsall, a 50-year member of The Oak Ridge Boys, has passed away from complications of ALS. He leaves behind his wife, two daughters, a granddaughter, two grandsons, two great-grandsons, his 3 band members, and millions of fans.
Joe was inducted into the Philadelphia Music Hall of Fame, the Gospel Music Hall of Fame, the Vocal Group Hall of Fame, and the esteemed Country Music Hall of Fame. He was also a member of the Grand Ole Opry and an American music group known for 50 years as The Oak Ridge Boys.
In addition, Joseph is the author of eleven books, the most recent of which is a memoir titled I See Myself and will be published in November. Joe had a passion for singing. He was an avid reader. He was an avid writer. He was an avid banjo player. He cherished his work on the farm. He also had a soft spot for the Phillies. However, Jesus and his family have always come first, and on the Promised Day, we will see him once again.
