Joan Murphy Obituary, Death – At her residence on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, Joan (Hart) Murphy, who was 91 years old and from Bucyrus, died away. Joan Hart was born in Bucyrus on June 18, 1932. Her parents, Lester and Agnes (Young) Hart, have since passed away. Archie E. Murphy, who had passed away before her on March 28, 2004, was her husband. They had tied the knot on March 30, 1948.
In addition, she was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Mary Hart; her sister and brother-in-law, Irene and Eddie Peterman; her brother-in-laws, Harold Taylor and Denis Dornbirer; and her sister-in-law, Lee Hart. Joan is survived by her daughters Barbara Sharp and Nancy (Jim) Bloomfield, both of Kentucky; Patty Gingery of Bucyrus; Bethann (Bobby) Hickman of Nevada; nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren.
Mt. Zion and Holmes Liberty Schools were among the institutions that Joan attended. In addition to being a housewife, she also worked at a number of local establishments. In addition, Joan’s volunteer work at Bucyrus Community Hospital included the role of a gray lady. The Bucyrus Nazarene Church was her church of choice, and she liked activities such as quilting, sewing, camping, gardening, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
At one o’clock in the afternoon on Tuesday, funeral services will be conducted at the Bucyrus Nazarene Church, with Reverend Ray LaSalle serving as the officiant. Following the services, interment will take place at Oakwood Cemetery. On Tuesday, the family will be present at the church to greet guests up to the time of the ceremony, which will be at eleven o’clock.
