Jo Parker Obituary, Death –The thought of it breaks my heart. She was undeniably a doting teacher who had a genuine concern for each and every one of her pupils.
During the month of April of my senior year, I was engaged in a car accident that rendered me unable to move from my bed. Only senior English was missing from my requirements to graduate. While I was laying on the couch, Mrs. Jo Anna Parker would come to the house during her spare periods to complete educating and evaluating me on my English skills.
I was able to complete English in the comfort of my own living room and graduate. I don’t know if she was trying to show me how much she cared and loved me or if she was afraid of having me around for another year. I would like to believe that it was due to her generous heart. That grin on her face as she moved her arms around as she was teaching.
I shall miss her very much since she had an effect on each and every one of our pupils. You have our love. Mrs. Parker waited until Here we are once more. It is with a heavy heart that we must inform you of the demise of JoAnna, often known as Mama Jo. Today (9-11-23) at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock, she passed away without any pain or suffering.
Information regarding the arrangements will be published later on this week. She had a soft spot in her heart for each of her pupils, including us (iykyk).
She was a teacher who taught from the heart, and she had a way of making each and every pupil feel like they were her favorite. Her footsteps will be difficult to follow, and the legacy that she has left behind is unparalleled.
On this side of heaven, her presence will never again be felt the same. Ms. Parker undoubtedly changed the course of my life. She had a significant influence on all of the students, but I believe she brought out the best in each individual.
