Jesus Bustamante Monzon Obituary, Death; – A tragic incident involving a single vehicle in Andrews County resulted in the death of one individual after authorities indicated that he failed to yield at an intersection, subsequently colliding with a dirt berm and becoming airborne.
As reported by the Texas Department of Public Safety, troopers were dispatched to the intersection of SH 115 and SH 128 in Andrews County on Saturday, February 1, at approximately 6:38 p.m. in response to the accident.
During the investigation, officials determined that the driver, identified as 33-year-old Jesus Bustamante Monzon from Indio, California, was traveling east on SH 128 when he allegedly ignored the stop sign at the intersection of SH 128 and SH 115.
According to officials, the vehicle continued past the stop sign, struck a dirt berm, and became airborne before landing in a nearby pasture. Reports indicated that Monzon was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the incident and was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have confirmed that the investigation into the crash is ongoing, and no additional information is available at this moment.
