Jerry Puerile Obituary, Death; – San Diego police have confirmed the identity of the individual who was fatally assaulted in Hillcrest on Saturday as 61-year-old Jerry Puerile.
According to witnesses, a call was made to 911 reporting that an assailant was seen strangling Puerile and forcefully striking his head against the pavement shortly after 4:50 p.m. on Washington Street, close to Fourth Avenue. Upon their arrival, officers discovered the unconscious victim lying on the ground adjacent to a gas station.
Puerile was subsequently transported to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Authorities apprehended Solomon Guerrero at the intersection of West Washington and Albatross streets. He is currently being held without bail at the county jail and is set to be arraigned on a murder charge on Wednesday afternoon.
