Jerome A Jackson Obituary, Death; Lanett police are conducting an investigation into a shooting that occurred on Valentine’s Day, resulting in the death of a 34-year-old man.
As reported by law enforcement, officers were called to the 100 block of South 2nd Avenue at approximately 8:40 p.m. on Friday after receiving reports of an individual suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.
The victim has been identified as Jerome A. Jackson, a resident of Valley. He was transported to East Alabama Medical Center-Lanier in Valley, where he was later pronounced dead, according to police statements.
