The suspect, Christian Soto, 22, went on a violent spree, claiming the lives of 4 individuals and injuring 7 others in a series of unprovoked attacks that took place within a short 20-minute timeframe in the neighborhood near N. Alpine and Harrison, behind Alpine Village. Among the victims were Newcomb, 49-year-old Jay Larson, a mail carrier, 63-year-old Ramona Schupbach, and her son, 23-year-old Jacob Schupbach. A GoFundMe campaign has already raised an impressive $54,555 to support the grieving family.
