Jeffrey Lach Jr Obituary, Death; – A deputy from Shelby County fatally shot a man on Tuesday morning, as reported by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI).
The incident occurred around 10:40 a.m. in the 1600 block of North Shelby Oaks Drive, according to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office. Following standard protocol, the TBI was promptly summoned to conduct an investigation into the shooting involving a law enforcement officer.
According to the TBI, deputies had identified a stolen vehicle in the vicinity before the shooting took place. When the deputy attempted to apprehend 33-year-old Jeffrey Lach Jr., the situation escalated, resulting in the deputy discharging his weapon, which led to Lach’s death at the scene.
Fortunately, no deputies sustained injuries during the event.
