Jaziel’s grandmother, Monica Benavidez, described him as a loving, caring, and helpful child who always had a smile on his face. The Pima County Sheriff’s Office reported that the boy was a passenger in a two-seat UTV without a helmet or any restraints. The driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to overturn. Fortunately, Jaziel’s mother, who was also in the UTV, escaped unharmed. The family mentioned that Jaziel had recently completed preschool and was looking forward to celebrating his 5th birthday in two months. Benavidez expressed how beloved Jaziel was, describing him as a shining light in every room he entered, leaving everyone heartbroken by his untimely passing.
