Jayson Ramos Obituary, Death;- The Honolulu medical examiner has identified the individual who perished following a fireworks explosion in Kalihi on New Year’s Eve as 20-year-old Jayson Ramos. Emergency responders arrived at a residence on Lukela Lane shortly after 11 p.m. on Tuesday.
“I was in my room playing a game when I heard the firework, and everyone outside began to scream and cry,” recounted Precious Chloe Cadiz, a neighbor. “The house shook, and I was bewildered by the commotion outside.”
According to Emergency Medical Services, Ramos suffered multiple traumatic injuries, including a significant injury to his arm. Paramedics provided advanced life support at the scene and subsequently transported him to the hospital in critical condition, as reported by EMS.
Unfortunately, his condition deteriorated, and he was pronounced dead around 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, according to officials. The medical examiner determined that Ramos died from blast injuries affecting his head and right hand. The cause of death has been classified as an accident.
