Javontee Brice Obituary, – The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) issued a press release stating that a man was fatally shot in a confrontation with authorities near the Georgia-Florida border after allegedly gunning down three individuals in Florida.
Deputies were alerted to be on the lookout for a suspect wanted for a triple homicide in the Manatee County region. At approximately 12:55 a.m., HCSO deputies spotted the suspect’s vehicle traveling north on I-75 in Jasper, Florida. The vehicle contained a black male driver and a black female passenger.
NEWSNETWORK99 confirmed that the suspect, Javontee Brice, 28, was reportedly en route to Georgia to target a fourth individual. The specific destination in Georgia remains unknown. Upon conducting a felony traffic stop at the Exxon parking lot in Jasper, deputies identified the driver as the homicide suspect. He exited the vehicle and opened fire at the deputies.
In response, two deputies returned fire, resulting in the death of Brice. Fortunately, both deputies emerged unscathed from the encounter. The passenger, Breonna Monique Davis, was unharmed and is not facing any charges in connection with the incident. The Manatee County Sheriff revealed that Brice had murdered his mother and two other women in Florida.
HCSO has requested the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) to investigate the shooting involving the deputies. The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office is handling the investigation into the triple homicide. The press release emphasized that this was an isolated event and that there is no immediate danger to residents of Hamilton County.
