Javen Lamont Turner Obituary, Death; – Five individuals, including a 16-year-old, have been apprehended and charged with murder following a shooting incident in Hancock County that resulted in the death of a man, as reported by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
The GBI stated that on January 3 at approximately 3:00 p.m., law enforcement responded to a report of aggravated assault at the intersection of Broad Street and Miles Street. The Hancock County 911 Center received a call regarding individuals in a vehicle firing at another vehicle, which left a passenger with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim, identified as 18-year-old Javen Lamont Turner from Sparta, Georgia, was transported to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries on Saturday, January 4.
According to the GBI, the arrested individuals include a 16-year-old from Sparta, Darrian Deandre Greene, 18-year-old Mikez Yaraus Edwards, 20-year-old Armarion Hunt, and 22-year-old Nehemiah Henderson, all of whom face felony murder charges related to the deadly shooting. Greene, Henderson, and Edwards are currently detained at the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, while the 16-year-old has been placed in a youth detention facility.
