Jason Los, Board Member of the Virginia Wireless Association (VAWA) and Northeast Regional Sales Manager at Valmont Site Pro, passed away unexpectedly on June 6, 2024. His untimely death has left a profound impact on the wireless community and beyond. Jason, a resident of Baltimore County, MD, is survived by his wife and two children, who now face this tragic loss alongside the many who knew and admired him.
Jason’s professional journey included significant roles such as Regional Manager for PerfectVision and Account Executive for EBI Consulting before joining Valmont Site Pro. He became a Board Director of VAWA in 2021, where his contributions were highly valued. VAWA stated, “Jason was an integral part of VAWA since becoming a Board Director in 2021. He was well known and revered throughout the wireless community for his upbeat personality and confident spirit. You always walked away feeling positive after an interaction with Jason. His contributions to the industry and leadership in our organization will be missed.”
Jason was a graduate of the University of Maryland Global Campus, where he earned an M.S. in Environmental Management, and Wheeling University, where he obtained a B.S. in Environmental Science. His commitment to his field was mirrored by his dedication to various humanitarian causes, including animal welfare, humanitarian relief, and poverty alleviation. Additionally, he was a member of the Annual Golf Tournament Planning Committee for the University of Maryland School of Medicine Center for Infant and Child Loss.
Outside of his professional and philanthropic endeavors, Jason cherished spending time with his family and had a passion for traveling, snowboarding, and golf. His enthusiasm for life and his positive influence on those around him will be fondly remembered. VAWA announced that further details regarding a memorial service will be shared in the coming weeks.
