Jashaun Morgan,Eliot Flores Obituary, – The Grand Rapids police department has identified the two individuals who lost their lives in a shootout last weekend. Jashaun Morgan, aged 28, and Eliot Flores, aged 31, were the victims of the incident that took place in a parking lot at the intersection of Cherry Street and Cesar E Chavez Avenue. According to Police Chief Eric Winstrom, Morgan and Flores, along with a third individual, engaged in gunfire around 1 a.m. on Sunday, June 2.
The third person sustained a gunshot wound to the leg but is expected to survive. Winstrom mentioned that the individuals involved seemed to have a close connection with each other, ruling out the possibility of a random act of violence or robbery. The motive behind the incident remains unclear, although three firearms, including two handguns and possibly a rifle, were recovered from the scene. One of the handguns was discovered in a vehicle. The shootings occurred in an area known for entertainment establishments such as the Tin Can bar and The Intersection venue.
