Janice W Bullard Obituary, Death; – A woman from Talladega lost her life when her vehicle collided with a horse on a roadway in Coosa County.
The Alabama State Troopers have identified the deceased as Janice W. Bullard, aged 63. The incident occurred at 11:40 p.m. on Tuesday along U.S. 231, approximately eight miles south of Rockford. According to ALEA Lt. Jeremy Burkett, Bullard was a passenger in a Chrysler 200 that struck a horse that was on the roadway.
Following the initial impact, the Chrysler veered off the road and collided with a large rock. Burkett noted that Bullard was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident and was pronounced dead at the scene. The horse also succumbed to its injuries.
The driver of the Chrysler, 47-year-old Angela M. Lackey, along with another passenger, 67-year-old Nina S. Lackey, both residents of Talladega, were transported to UAB Hospital in Birmingham. The extent of their injuries has not yet been disclosed. The investigation is still ongoing, being conducted by the troopers.
