Jamie Arnold Obituary, Death – Jamie Sue (Morrow) Arnold, who was 87 years old and from Dayton, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at the Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga. The place of her passing was in Chattanooga. Both of her parents, Charles Chester Morrow and Eula Mae (Sneed) Morrow, had passed away prior to her birth on August 11, 1936. She was the daughter of both of them. Her place of birth was in Dayton.
Her stepmother, Audrey Morrow, her twin brother, John Morrow, her brothers Bob Morrow, Jim Morrow, Robert Cordell, and Herbert Cordell, and her sisters Mildred Day, Merlie Fairchild, Ruth Mickel, and Fayrene Wilkey all went away before she did. Her husband, Ray Farrell Arnold, Sr., was also among those who had preceded her in death. Moreover, her stepmother had passed away before she was born.
1954 was the year that Jamie graduated from Rhea Central High School with his high school diploma. In addition to her retirement from La-Z-Boy, she also established and managed a dairy farm with her husband prior to her retirement. Not only was she a charter member of the First Baptist Church of Evensville, but she was also a member of the Evensville Home Demonstration Club and the Racing Club 3 Silver Sneakers. She was a member of all three aforementioned organizations.
Jamie is survived by her children, Ray “Farrell” (DeAna) Arnold Jr. and Allyson Walker, both of Dayton; her grandchildren, Katie Arnold of Chattanooga, Chad (fiancé Kirsten) Arnold of Dayton, and Garrett Walker of Chattanooga; her sisters, Phebe Frazier, Wanda Garrison, and Trit (Butch) Majors, all of Dayton; her sisters, Peggy Crawley and Lorene Porter, both of Chattanooga; and her brother, Tommy Morrow of Evensville.
Funeral services for Jamie will be place in the chapel of the funeral home on Monday, April 1, 2024, at five o’clock in the afternoon. Jamie passed away on April 1, 2024. The Reverend James Rogers, who is her pastor, will serve as the officiant for the event. Rhea Memory Gardens, which is located close to her husband, will be the location where she will be laid to rest immediately after the conclusion of the funeral services.
