James Land Obituary, Death;- A man has been apprehended in Warren County following an incident in which he allegedly shot and killed another male in Ohio.
At approximately 3:42 a.m. CST on Sunday, the Adams County Sheriff’s Office received several reports regarding suspected gunfire, as stated in an official release. Deputies arrived at the vicinity of 312 E 7th St. in Manchester, Ohio, around 4:48 a.m. and discovered a victim, later identified as 47-year-old James Land, suffering from life-threatening injuries.
During the investigation, numerous witnesses reported seeing a suspect departing from the location of the gunfire, according to the release. The suspect was subsequently identified as Jason Strain, 43, from Bowling Green.
Authorities indicated that Strain fled the scene and was thought to be heading to an address in Bowling Green. The Adams County Sheriff’s Office utilized traffic cameras to track Strain’s vehicle, and Bowling Green police executed a traffic stop at approximately 9:29 a.m. on Sunday.
During the stop, Strain complied with law enforcement and was taken into custody. He is currently being held at the Warren County Regional Jail.
