James Fontanella,Anthony Desopo Obituary, Death; – A man from Totowa, New Jersey, lost his life on Friday following a snowmobile accident in Pike County, as reported by state police in Blooming Grove. Authorities were dispatched to the vicinity of Cove Road and North Hemlock Lane at approximately 6 p.m. in response to a collision involving two snowmobiles.
James Fontanella and Anthony Desopo were riding their snowmobiles on Lake Wallenpaupack when both vehicles collided with the shoreline, impacting large rocks and boulders, according to police reports.
As a result of the crash, both individuals were ejected from their snowmobiles, and Desopo, aged 55, was declared deceased at the scene by the Pike County coroner’s office. Emergency personnel transported Fontanella, who sustained injuries, to Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center via helicopter, as stated by the police.
Troopers from the Pennsylvania State Police Blooming Grove are currently conducting an investigation into the incident.
