Jake’s work was instrumental in developing cutting-edge software solutions that have had a lasting impact on the field. His colleagues admired him for his sharp intellect, creativity, and his ability to mentor and inspire those around him.

His generosity, kindness, and commitment to making the world a better place were evident in everything he did.
Jake had a lifelong love of music and was an accomplished pianist. He found solace and joy in playing music, often filling his home with the melodies of his favorite classical composers. His love for music was something he shared with his family, and it brought them together in moments of harmony and happiness.
In his free time, Jake enjoyed hiking, reading, and spending time with his family at their cabin in the mountains. He had a deep appreciation for nature and often sought refuge in the great outdoors, where he found peace and inspiration.
Jacob is survived by his wife, Rachel Brown; his children, David Brown (Claire) of Seattle, Sarah Brown of New York City, and Emily Brown of San Francisco; his sister, Linda Schreiber (Mark) of Pittsburgh; and many extended family members and close friends.
