Jacob Penzer, a Florida Atlantic University, Phi Alpha Class of 2018 passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2024, he was 29 years old. Jacob was one of those people who left a lasting impression on anyone he met. Jacob was larger than life, and whenever he entered a room, he became the focal point. The Brothers of Phi Alpha remember him warmly for his friendship and devotion to the whole brotherhood and national fraternity. He was a great mensch, with a big heart and a genuine desire to give back to the Jewish community and the State of Israel.

The FAU alumni brothers have established a private donation intended to provide perpetual funding for future Jewish activities on the campus in remembrance of Jacob and to continue his passions. Initiatives aimed at advancing Israel advocacy, Jewish life, and Holocaust education will be supported by these awards.
