Jackie Williams Obituary, Death- Mrs. Jackie Marie Williams, a very loved LaGrange resident and devoted wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on August 29, 2023.
She was born in LaGrange on October 11, 1948, to Jack Clark and Vera Lee Clark, both of whom have now passed away. Mrs. Williams was a strong and independent woman who never shied away from saying what was on her mind. She was a hard worker who consistently made progress toward her goals.
Her acts were honest and unabashed, and her presence radiated a powerful energy. Being a devoted wife, sister, mother, and grandmother offered Mrs. Williams immeasurable happiness.
The time she got to spend with her grandchildren brought her much joy. She found tremendous solace in maintaining close ties to her extended family and did her best to see them on a regular basis.
Mrs. Jackie Marie Williams was preceded in death by her grandchild, Taylor Lashley, and her siblings, Carlos Clark, Herman Clark, Harold Clark, Bobbie Jean Tanner, and Joanne Poole. She has now joined her ancestors in heaven.
Her husband, Jeff “Buck” Williams, and their children Keith Lashley (Missy), Chris Williams (Amanda), and Tony Williams, as well as her sister, Carolyn Huffman (Bonnie), and grandchildren Austin Lashley (Addison), Alexis Williams, Brennen Williams, Blake Lashley, and Bella Lashley, will miss her dearly.
On Wednesday, August 30, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, friends and well-wishers are welcome to pay their respects at Higgins Funeral Home in Hunter-Allen-Myhand. On Thursday, August 31, 2023, at 2:00 PM, again at Higgins Funeral Home, there will be a memorial service for Mrs. Williams.
A committal service will be held at LaGrange’s Meadow Gardens after the funeral. Pastor Pete Shoger will preside over the ceremony and lead the congregation in remembering Mrs. Williams. Please keep Mrs. Jackie Marie Williams’s family in your thoughts and prayers as they move forward during this difficult time. Her legacy will live on in the people she touched, encouraging love, strength, and genuineness in the years to come.
