Iviyan Dandridge Obituary – The Martinsville Police Department confirmed that a 19-year-old individual lost their life following a shooting incident on Rivermont Heights early Sunday morning, July 7th. At 2:36 a.m., officers were called to the 1400 block of Rivermont Heights after reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, two victims were discovered with gunshot wounds.
Both victims were transported to Martinsville SOVAH Hospital, where one of them, identified as 19-year-old Iviyan Dandridge from Martinsville, was pronounced deceased. The other victim was treated and later discharged.
Authorities suspect that a confrontation erupted during a large gathering at a residence on Rivermont Heights, resulting in the shooting. Investigators from the Martinsville Police Department and the Henry County Sheriff’s Office are currently at the scene conducting interviews with witnesses.
