CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Officials are investigating an intentionally set fire to a Family Dollar in east Charlotte that caused more than $1 million in damages, Charlotte Fire reported.
Around 3:20 a.m. Sunday, crews responded to the fire at the Family Dollar on the 6200 block of The Plaza. When they arrived, they immediately worked to put out the blaze which was fully under control by 4:05 a.m. Officials said there were no reported injuries.
Investigators determined the fire was intentionally set, making it the third time it has been targeted by fire in recent months. CFD estimates the damage loss at $1.4 million.
