With heavy hearts, we share the sad news of the passing of one of our own, Mike Schepers, a devoted firefighter who served our community with unwavering courage and compassion for 29 years. Mike, who served as a Driver/Engineer, most recently stationed at Station 9, passed away last night, leaving behind a legacy of selfless service and commitment.
Throughout his distinguished career, Mike exemplified the highest standards of professionalism and bravery. He approached every call with determination and a deep sense of duty, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues and the community he served.
Beyond his role as a firefighter, Mike was known for his kind heart and strong sense of family. He was a loving husband, a dedicated father, and a cherished member of our firefighting family. His impact on our department and our lives is immeasurable.
