With profound sadness and heavy hearts, the family of Tammy Rena Cook announces her passing on April 3, 2025, at the age of 49. A cherished mother, sister, daughter, and friend, Tammy’s departure has left a void in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

Born and raised in Georgetown, Kentucky, Tammy’s life was one marked by compassion, quiet strength, and an unwavering devotion to her family. She was a nurturing mother to her two beloved children, Shaina Rene’ Cook and Tyler Cook, and a loving sister to Jennifer Parsons and Evan Adkins. Her presence in their lives was constant and grounding—a source of love, wisdom, and fierce loyalty.

Tammy was known for her kind spirit and the warmth she extended to everyone she met. Whether it was a small gesture of kindness, a heartfelt conversation, or her ability to listen without judgment, she had a way of making people feel seen, heard, and loved. Her laughter could light up a room, and her resilience in the face of life’s challenges inspired many.

Family meant everything to Tammy. She was deeply involved in the lives of her children, supporting them through every stage of life, always offering guidance and unconditional love. She took pride in the close bond she maintained with her siblings, nieces, nephews, and extended family members—each of whom held a special place in her heart.

In her free time, Tammy found joy in the simple things—gardening, cooking for those she loved, spending time in nature, and creating moments of joy at home. She had an innate ability to make people feel at peace, and her home was a haven of warmth and acceptance.

As the Georgetown community grieves this profound loss, they also celebrate the legacy Tammy leaves behind. A legacy of love, perseverance, and grace. Her life may have been cut short, but the impact she made will continue to echo through the lives of all who knew her.

Funeral arrangements and memorial services will be shared by the family as they become available. In the meantime, they ask for continued prayers, love, and support as they begin the difficult journey of healing.

Rest in peace, Tammy Rena Cook. Your love lives on in the hearts you touched, and your memory will forever be cherished.
