    In Loving Memory of Alex Ernst: A Cherished Member of the Cyclone Football Family

    It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alex Ernst, a cherished and integral member of the Cyclone Football Family. Alex’s unexpected departure has left a deep void in our community, and our thoughts are with his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.


    A Legacy of Dedication and Service

    For nearly two decades, Alex served with unwavering commitment to the Cyclone Football program. His role was pivotal in supporting the team, ensuring that every aspect of game day ran smoothly. Whether it was coordinating logistics, assisting with equipment, or offering a word of encouragement, Alex’s contributions were invaluable. His dedication went beyond the field; he was a mentor, a friend, and a steadfast supporter of the athletes and coaching staff.(Iowa State University Athletics)


    A Heartfelt Tribute

    Alex’s passing has left an indelible mark on all who knew him. His kindness, generosity, and infectious enthusiasm were hallmarks of his character. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of working alongside him.

    During this difficult time, our thoughts are with Alex’s family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. We stand united in our grief and in our gratitude for the time we shared with him.     In honor of Alex’s memory, the Cyclone Football Family will be organizing a memorial service and establishing a scholarship fund to support future students involved in the program. Details will be shared as they become available.
