Imani Naim Obituary, Death; – A 29-year-old woman, identified by police as Imani Naim from Delaware, was fatally shot on April 18 in Philadelphia.

Officers responded to a report of an individual armed with a firearm in the 5700 block of Ludlow Street, located in the Cobbs Creek neighborhood of the city. Upon their arrival at approximately 11:20 p.m., they discovered Naim in the driver’s seat of a vehicle, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to her chest and head. Naim was transported to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead at 11:43 p.m.

A search conducted by Delaware Online/The News Journal through a database revealed that Naim hailed from the Middletown area in Delaware. She is the second individual from Delaware to be shot and killed in Philadelphia within the past two months. In March, 18-year-old Anthony Jerome Sharpe from Smyrna was also killed in Philadelphia’s Kensington neighborhood.

Authorities urge anyone with information regarding Naim’s murder to reach out to the police. The city is offering a reward of $20,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for this homicide, as is standard for all homicide cases in Philadelphia.
