Hector Ruiz Death – A male individual has been pronounced deceased by authorities following a robbery and fatal shooting outside a business in west Harris County during a game of dice. The incident occurred just after midnight on Forest Acres near E Mt. Houston. Sheriff Ed Gonzalez identified the victim as 46-year-old Hector Ruiz, who was participating in the dice game with others.
According to investigators, a group of individuals approached Ruiz, demanding money, and violence ensued resulting in gunshots. Law enforcement officers arrived at the scene to find Ruiz with multiple gunshot wounds, leading to his death.
It was revealed that Ruiz worked at the business where the tragic event took place, and a regular dice game was held, possibly attracting the perpetrators. The suspects were described as young men who fled the scene in a light-colored SUV.
