Heather McGarvey Death – The Tennessee Highway Patrol has issued an initial statement regarding a collision that took place on Wednesday night, involving a driver going in the wrong direction on I-40, resulting in the fatality of a motorcyclist from Tennessee. The deceased has been identified as Heather McGarvey, aged 61, who was operating a 2013 Harley Davidson motorcycle.
The driver of a 2013 Ford F150 pickup truck involved in the incident has been identified as Daniel L. Miller, aged 45, also from Tennessee. Miller has been detained at the Cumberland County Justice Center and is facing charges of vehicular homicide, with a bond set at $150,000.
The collision happened on I-40 at the 336.8 mile marker at approximately 8 p.m. on Wednesday. According to the preliminary report, Miller was driving his pickup truck westbound in the eastbound lane. McGarvey was traveling east when the pickup truck collided head-on with the motorcycle.
Both vehicles came to a stop on the shoulder or side of the road, as indicated in the report.
