Hayward Fire Today: Hayward Fire Department on scene following the destruction of vehicles

Fire in Hayward CA – Thursday was the day that a fire broke out in a residential neighborhood, and it resulted in the destruction of several vehicles. There was a fire that started in the vicinity of Poppywood Court and Silverthorne Place at approximately 11:30 in the morning. Video taken from a helicopter showed the fire consuming a number of vehicles and a fence that was engulfed in flames. The fire was also blazing close to a number of residential areas. The firefighters continued to be present at the scene until noon in order to prevent the flames from spreading to the structures. At this time, there are no reports of any injuries being sustained.
