Grover Brown Obituary – Delaware State Police have identified Grover Brown, an 89-year-old man from the Wilmington-area, as the victim of a fatal three-vehicle crash in Brandywine Hundred on Monday afternoon.
Brown was driving a 2008 Toyota Camry east on Wilson Road around 3:50 p.m. when he veered off the road, hitting a mailbox on the right shoulder. After swerving back onto the road and crossing the double-yellow line, his car collided with a westbound 2011 Mercedes S550.
The impact caused the Mercedes to spin until it struck a parked 2002 Buick LeSabre, which was occupied at the time. Tragically, Brown was pronounced dead at the scene. The 62-year-old driver of the Mercedes sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. The occupant of the Buick, a 65-year-old woman from the Wilmington-area, was unharmed.
