Glennewyn Johnson Obituary, Death;- A 34-year-old woman tragically lost her life last Wednesday in a collision involving two vehicles, including a semi-truck, on the interstate in central Swisher County, as reported by the Plainview Herald. The incident took place shortly after 1 a.m., just south of Tulia on I-27, approximately 54 miles south of Amarillo.
According to police reports, a southbound 18-wheeler collided head-on with a Mercedes sedan after the latter lost traction on the icy road and spun out of control. The impact occurred on the shoulder of I-27.
Glennewyn Johnson, an unrestrained passenger in the Mercedes, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Mercedes and another passenger were transported to a local hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. The truck driver emerged from the accident without any injuries.
A comprehensive investigation is currently in progress.
