Glenda was welcomed into the world on February 25, 1956, in Madisonville, Kentucky, by her late parents, Quinton Terrell and Modrie Mathews. Both of her parents have now passed away. The adventure that Glenda was about to go on started with this. For as long as she can remember, Glenda has had an insatiable desire for life, even when she was a tiny child. Since the beginning of her life, she has always been able to find joy in the tiniest of pleasures, and she has always approached each day with an attitude of gratitude and grace.
In the course of her life, Glenda was able to discover a sense of contentment and tranquility via the participation in a wide range of activities. The act of attending church services provided her with a safe haven and a source of spiritual nourishment, and the great voice that she possessed lifted the hearts of everyone who heard her. She found that going to church services brought her a great deal of joy. Due to the fact that Glenda possessed a profound taste for literature, it was not uncommon to find her entirely absorbed in the pages of a well-written book. Her thirst for knowledge and comprehension was never totally fulfilled by the facts she received. The sharpness of her mind and the acuteness of her intelligence shined brilliantly as she charged headfirst into each new brainteaser with determination and determination. She found that the challenge of solving puzzles was something that she enjoyed doing whenever she was given the opportunity to do so.
Glenda found solace in the little pleasures that life had to offer during the times when she choose to engage in more introspective activities. It was something that she was looking forward to doing, and she was looking forward to taking long, leisurely drives over the countryside and taking in the magnificence of nature as it unfurled around her. And when she was in the kitchen, she was absolutely in her element, and her passion for cooking shined through in each and every meal that she diligently prepared. She was a true chef. Whether she was preparing a big meal for her family or testing new recipes, Glenda contributed her entire being to each and every culinary marvel that she created. This was something that she performed with each and every one of her dishes.
The devoted siblings of Glenda, who were at her side through all of life’s highs and lows, will carry the memories of their cherished sister with them for the rest of their lives. She leaves behind two brothers, Roy Terrell of Rabbit Ridge, Kentucky, and Lonnie Terrell of Diamond, Kentucky, both of whom are married to Diane. Both of her brothers are responsible for her passing. She also leaves behind two sisters, Brenda Vandiver of Dawson Springs, Kentucky, and Linda Duncan of Earlington. Both of these sisters are from the state of Kentucky. The fact that their connection, which was formed by love and experiences that they shared in common, will continue to exist for future generations is a testament to the fact that Glenda has left behind an enduring legacy of family and friendly relationships.
At eleven o’clock in the morning on Friday, April 5, 2024, a funeral ceremony that is full of emotion will take place at the Providence Chapel of the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home in order to commemorate the life and legacy of Glenda. The service will be held in order to honor Glenda’s life and legacy. At the service, which will be presided over by Damon Farrington, words of consolation and consolation will be provided to all of those who have assembled to pay their respects to the one who has passed away. Immediately following the conclusion of the funeral services, Glenda will be laid to rest in the serene surroundings of Green Grove Cemetery. Under the expansive sky that she cherished so much, she will be able to discover the peace that she has been searching for at all times.
We are reminded of the significance of making the most of the time we have with the people who are most important to us as we get together to celebrate Glenda’s life. We are also reminded of the worth of each and every moment that we are given.
