Girl killed in accident at Pomona intersection; Flowers and other items were left at the scene of a crash in Pomona on Tuesday night that tragically killed a 6-year-old girl. The accident occurred around 8 p.m. near Towne and Lexington Avenues. The girl was walking with a woman when they were struck by a car.
The young girl, identified as Guadalupe Alvarez Salgado of Pomona, died at the scene. The woman accompanying her was hospitalized with serious injuries. The driver remained at the scene following the accident.
