Giovano Cruz Obituary, Death; – The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is conducting an investigation following the discovery of a 17-year-old who was shot to death in a backyard located in the Cypress area, as reported by officials.
On Saturday, at approximately 10:30 a.m., deputies from the Harris County Precinct 5 Constables Office were dispatched to 7800 Galleon Field Drive within the Yaupon Ranch subdivision. A local resident alerted the deputies to the presence of an unidentified teenager’s body in their backyard.
Homicide units arrived at the scene to carry out a follow-up investigation and subsequently identified the victim as Giovano Cruz. Investigators indicated that the teenager succumbed to injuries sustained from a gunshot wound to the chest. Earlier that same night, deputies had responded to reports of gunfire in the vicinity, but no suspicious activity was detected at that time.
