Giovanni Flores, Zachery Meincke Death – The Rock Island County Coroner, Brian Gustafson, has released the names of the two teenagers who were tragically killed in a double homicide in Moline. The victims have been identified as 17-year-old Giovanni Flores and 19-year-old Zachery Meincke, both residents of Moline.
Autopsies were conducted on Monday, revealing that Flores died from a gunshot wound to the head, while Meincke suffered gunshot wounds to the head and chest.
The discovery of the victims took place on Sunday, May 5, at approximately 4:30 a.m. Authorities were called to a residence in the 1800 block of 31st Street, off Avenue of the Cities, in response to an “unknown problem at the residence.” Upon entering the premises, officials found the victims deceased in the basement.
Earlier that morning, at around 2:30 a.m., the police had responded to the same residence following a noise complaint for a large house party. It is believed that this earlier call is connected to the homicide.

The police emphasize that individuals with knowledge of the circumstances surrounding the incident are crucial for a swift resolution to this case.
