Former Sheffield United player George Baldock has died. The 31-year-old was found dead and floating in the swimming pool of at his Athens home on Wednesday, October 9, 2024.
According to reports, George Henry Ivor Baldock was located unconscious inside the pool, life-saving measures were administered, and sadly he passed away at the scene. Law enforcement agencies are continuing to investigate the death incident and have not confirmed what happened to the footballer. Authorities didi not confirm how long he was dead in the water before being spotted by a worker.

George Henry Ivor Baldock was a professional footballer who played as a right back or right winger. Despite being born in England, Baldock was granted Greek nationality as Tzortz Mpalntok due to his grandmother’s Greek ancestry, and he represented the Greek national team in international events.
Baldock was born in Buckingham, Buckinghamshire. He started his career with Milton Keynes Dons’ academy team. His older brother, Sam Baldock, also played for the club.
