GAITHERSBURG, MD — The Montgomery County Police Department has announced the arrest of 59-year-old Earl David Long of Gaithersburg, who has been charged with multiple counts of armed robbery connected to a string of 7-Eleven store robberies in Montgomery County.
The robberies occurred between June 5 and June 21, 2024. The targeted 7-Eleven locations include:
- 8900 block of N. Westland Dr.
- 10200 New Hampshire Ave.
- 900 block of Merrimac Dr.
- 8100 block of Fenton St.
- 400 block of N. Frederick Ave.
Detectives from the Major Crimes division identified Long as the suspect during their investigation. Long was apprehended without incident on June 21, 2024, after the robbery of the 7-Eleven on N. Frederick Ave.
The Montgomery County Police Department is continuing its investigation and urges anyone with additional information to come forward.
