Freddy Blondel Obituary – The Washington State Patrol (WSP) is currently investigating a fatal collision that occurred on Chuckanut Dr. near Bow, Washington on Sunday afternoon. WSP reported that at approximately 2:21 p.m., troopers were dispatched to the scene following reports of a collision involving a car and a motorcycle at the intersection of Chuckanut Dr. and Sunset Rd.
Shortly after the initial response, Life Flight arrived, but tragically, the motorcyclist passed away at the location. WSP investigators revealed that a 70-year-old woman was driving northbound on Chuckanut Dr. at the time of the incident, while the motorcyclist was traveling southbound.
The woman tried to turn left onto Sunset Rd. and collided with the motorcyclist, resulting in both vehicles blocking the intersection. The victim has been identified as 57-year-old Freddy Blondel from Maple Ridge, British Columbia. WSP stated that the crash was caused by failure to yield, with no involvement of drugs or alcohol.
