Francis Baker Obituary – We are very saddened to hear of the passing of Francis LeRoy Baker, who had previously been employed by Swoyersville Borough. We would like to express our most sincere sympathies to the Baker family since we learned of his passing. The tragic news of Francis’s departure has left us in a state of deep sorrow. The year 1982 marked the beginning of Roy’s career in the police force, having begun as a part-time officer.
1989 was the year that he took advantage of the opportunity to progress to a full-time position that was presented to him. Over the course of the subsequent seventeen years, he continued to be of service to the community after his passing. It was in the month of October in the year 2006 that he ultimately made the decision to step down from his prior post. Roy worked as the Juvenile Officer for Swoyersville in addition to his duties as the secretary for the FOP Lodge 36. He was also responsible for the administration of other duties.
Additionally, during the period of his work, he served as a member of the Luzerne County Drug Task Force. While he was in control of the corporation, he was responsible for a wide variety of obligations, and these are just a few of the many things he assumed responsibility for. John Baker, who is now working as the director of emergency management for Swoyersville, is the son of Roy Baker, who is also the father of John Baker.
John Baker is the one who is presently serving in this role at the moment. Please refer to the obituary that has been published in the newspaper if you would want more information on the viewing hours and dates that will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, which is situated on Hughes Street in Swoyersville. The church is located in Swoyersville. We would like to take this opportunity to extend our most sincere condolences to Joanne, his wife, and the rest of the Baker family and friends at this difficult time.
