HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A former Huntersville nail salon worker has been arrested again, this time charged with 11 counts of sexual battery and second-degree forcible sexual offense, according to Mecklenburg County court records.
Nhan “Tom” Tran, 60, was booked into the Mecklenburg County Jail in the early morning hours of Thursday, Feb. 13. He had his court appearance on the additional charges Thursday morning.
According to court documents, Tran is accused of inappropriately touching customers against their will during scheduled services. Records state the alleged assaults happened multiple times over several years, dating back to at least 2022.
Huntersville Police said the alleged “unsolicited sexual content” with clients happened at the Lee Nails Spa in the Regency Village Shopping Center on W. Catawba Ave.
Authorities said the 60-year-old nail technician would offer female clients “add-on” massages where he would make “unsolicited sexual contact” with multiple victims.
Tran is currently being held at the Mecklenburg County Jail. Authorities urge anyone who believes they were victimized or involved in similar incidents to contact HPD at 704-464-5514.
