Early Life and Education
Born on July 13, 2006, in Columbus, Ohio, Ethan Richard Adkins was a bright and enthusiastic young man. A recent graduate of Granville High School, he was eagerly anticipating his future studies in Biology at Mount Vernon Nazarene University. His academic journey was driven by a deep passion for nature and science.
Passion for Nature
Ethan’s love for the great outdoors was evident in his hobbies. He enjoyed camping and mountain biking, always carrying a pocketknife from his prized collection. His adventurous spirit and connection to nature were a significant part of who he was, shaping many of his life experiences.
A Zest for Life
Known for his infectious energy, Ethan had a unique ability to light up any room. His big-hearted nature and quirky habits, like using post-it notes and collecting knives, made him a beloved figure among his peers. Ethan was a master at bringing people together, creating lasting memories with his friends and family.
Survived by Loved Ones
Ethan leaves behind a loving family, including his parents, Doug and Jennifer Adkins, and his siblings, Erin and Wesley Griffith, Owen and Macy Adkins, and Avery Adkins. He was a cherished nephew to Everett Griffith and a beloved grandson to Jim and Vicki Adkins and Shawn and Terri DeWitt. Many aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends who were like family to him also mourn his loss.
Celebration of Life
To honor Ethan’s vibrant life, a celebration will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024, at 4:30 pm at the R.R. Hodges Chapel on the campus of Mount Vernon Nazarene University in Mount Vernon, Ohio. The family invites all who knew Ethan to join in remembering his joyous spirit and the impact he had on their lives.
