Estelita Vega Velasco Death – The woman who died in a crash in Delano has been identified as 89-year-old Estelita Vega Velasco of Delano by the Kern County Coroner’s Office. Delano Police Department reported that on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at approximately 8:05 a.m., officers responded to a collision between two vehicles on the 100 block of Albany Street.
Velasco, the driver of a maroon Hyundai SUV, was declared deceased at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle cooperated with the investigation, stayed at the scene, and sustained no injuries, as per the police report.
