50-year-old Erin Ivancich has been identified as the woman shot and killed by her partner 54-year-old Rajko A Ivancich in a domestic incident in Roscoe, Illinois on New Year’s Day. Born in Mar 1974, Erin Beth Hahne Ivancich died after she was shot by her husband inside their home on the 10000 block of Harrison Court in Roscoe, IL.
The sheriff’s office invites the community to take action against domestic abuse, stating that the deaths of a lady and man in Roscoe are being investigated as murder-suicide. According to the sheriff’s office, a family member discovered two people dead inside a residence in the 10000 block of Harrison Court at 10:30 a.m. on January 1.
Investigators initially felt the crime was isolated and domestic in nature. On January 3, Winnebago County Sheriff Gary Caruana issued the following statement on the incident.
“Our hearts go out to the victim’s family and loved ones during this difficult time. Preventing domestic violence requires the entire community to work together. From raising awareness in schools and workplaces to providing resources and safe spaces for victims, we all have a role to play. It’s crucial that we educate everyone on healthy relationships, offer support to those in need, and foster an environment where abuse is not tolerated. The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office is dedicated to continuing to raise awareness, provide resources to those affected by domestic violence, and create a safe community for everyone.”
