Eric Bennett Obituary – The passing of Eric Bennett, a much-loved member of our community, occurred on June 18, 1990, and he left behind an enduring legacy of compassion and dedication. Having been born on June 12, 1950, Eric was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend who brought happiness into the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He passed away on June 12, 2019. In spite of the fact that the passing of this person has had a profound effect on a great number of people, his legacy will continue to be a source of motivation and encouragement for everlasting.
Eric Bennett received a great deal of praise for his extraordinary generosity and his commitment to help others from disadvantaged backgrounds. Because of his unselfish dedication as a volunteer at the neighborhood soup kitchen, he was able to make a significant difference in the lives of a great number of people who were struggling with hunger and homelessness. His acts of selflessness served as a shining example for our community, spurring others to follow in his footsteps and become more selfless themselves. St. Mark’s Cathedral, which Alfred regularly attended for more than forty years, will be the location of the burial ceremony being held to remember his life. The service is set to take place on April 22, 2024.
The event is set to start at ten o’clock in the morning, and immediately after that, there will be a procession to Evergreen Memorial Gardens for the burial memorial service. On April 14, 2024, from four o’clock in the afternoon until eight o’clock in the evening, the visitation is going to take place at Smith & Sons Funeral Home.
