Emily Ramirez Death; – An 11-year-old girl from Arizona tragically lost her life after being struck by a pickup truck while riding her scooter. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department identified the victim as Emily Ramirez. The incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. last Friday, as reported by KOLD.
According to deputies, Emily was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident and succumbed to her injuries at the scene. In response to this tragedy, Jazmine Rizo initiated a GoFundMe campaign to assist the family in providing Emily with “the memorial she so deeply deserves.” Rizo characterized the young girl as vibrant, compassionate, and full of joy.
“Emily Ramirez was a bright and joyful little girl with a heart full of love,” Rizo expressed on the GoFundMe page. “Her laughter was infectious, and her kindness touched everyone she met, leaving a lasting impact on all our lives. Though her time with us was short, her spirit and memories will forever remain in our hearts.”
Following the incident, the driver of the pickup truck remained at the scene and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation. Authorities indicated that neither speed nor impairment appeared to be contributing factors.
Rizo mentioned on GoFundMe that Emily was struck by a “distracted driver.” A neighbor informed KOLD that a group of local children had recently begun riding scooters and playing together in the vicinity.
